  • Probabilistic modeling of transportation systems: infrastructure performance, transit operations, and traffic flow.
  • Infrastructure management: inspection, condition assessment and forecasting, and maintenance decision-making.
  • Public transit planning and operations management: role and use of emerging surveillance systems including automatic vehicle location, automatic passenger count, and automatic fare collection systems.
  • Remote-sensing of roadway traffic flows: off-line planning and real-time operations applications.
