The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) New Investigator Program (NIP) Award

The New Investigator Program was established by the NASA Office of Earth Science in 1996 to encourage the integrated environments for research and eduaction for scientists and engineers at the early stage of their professional careers. The program encompasses all areas of research and development in Earth System science and applications, as well as associated activites in education, science communication, and interdisciplinary endeavors.
