The Weavers group research is multi-pronged with projects in the area of advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), organic contaminants contained on flue gas desulfurization by-product (FGD), and defouling of membranes for water treatment. All of these research areas are related in that they investigate the transformation of organic pollutants. An overarching goal of our research is to understand how the processes work on a fundamental level to determine how to optimize the processes for real world use.
